Hot Cupboards

CED’s Designline hot cupboards are constructed from sturdy 0.9mm 430gd panel work carcasses with 1.5mm thick 304 gd worktops & heated using incoloy elements.
Designline hot cupboards are available as
– a solid steel worktop or ‘plain top’ model,
– a combined dry heat bain marie top & hot cupboard under,
– a combined wet well bain marie top & hot cupboard under,
– as a covenient ‘roll under’ counter model – fitted with locking castors.
A pass-through option of the plain top hot cupboard – with doors to both sides of the unit – completes the range.
CED standard hot cupboards can be purchased at either 850mm high or 900mm high – to suit industry standard kitchen area worktop heights – and up to 800mm deep, for optimum storage capacity. The roll under model is made at a convenient 650mm high size to allow seemless integration into a servery counter.

  • Fully removable s/steel mid shelf with supporting removable box section steel bars.
  • Single control panel is mounted to operator right hand side of cupboard
  • Supplied with individual rotary thermostatic temperature control for hot cupboard.
  • Illuminating individual On/Off switch for heated section & separate indicator light showing ‘heating power on’.
  • Adjustable height levelling feet for accurate final site positioning.

  • Optional heated gantry can be added above plain top, pass-through or bain marie type hot cupboard worktops.
  • Gantry can be independently fitted to other equipment (Servery Pass etc.).
  • Available in single, double and triple tier heated versions.
  • Ideal for short term heated meal/plate storage etc.
  • Heated solid steel shelf/ pass is supported on sturdy steel box section gantry.
  • Individual 300 w quartz infra red holding lamps sited under the shelf surface, 1 per gastronom section (350mm centres)
  • Gantry lengths to suit all CED standard hot cupboards.
  • Fitted with dimmer control switches to each heated shelf.
  • (<3kw) Gantry wired integrally to hot cupboard control panel and supplied with 2M single electrical cable & 13 amp plug top.
  • (>3kw) Wired integrally and supplied with 2M cable only, will need to be hard wired or fitted with commando plug.

Hot Cupboard Options.

Digital Temperature Display.Digi-control
As standard, the hot cupboard is thermostatically controlled with rotary temperature indicator dials, an optional digital temperature display can be incorporated.

Heated Tier Gantry.
Further choices include heated single, double and triple tiered ‘heated meal’ holding gantries or ambient storage gantries. *Heated gantries have 300W quartz lamps per gastronom and are fitted with dimmer switches to each heated tier. 
Mobile Hot Cupboard. The plain top hot cupboard, the pass through hot cupboard & both dry heat/wet well bain marie hot cupboards are supplied with factory fitted adjustable static feet. The units can be made mobile with the addition of a set of locking castors.
Fan Assisted Hot Cupboard. The standard range of hot cupboards heat their storage space by naturally rising heat, created from heated elements in the base – ideal for many sauce based pre-cooked products, heated plate storage etc. The fan assisted option circulates heat and temperature more evenly, if the hot cupboard is always used to it’s full capacity.
Pass Through Hot Cupboard.pass-through-h-cupbd. An additional pair of sliding doors -added during manufacture- can convert the standard range of 800/900mm high hot cupboards to give access to the storage area from both sides.
Material/ Size Variation. The standard range of CED hot cupboards can be produced to facilitate a bespoke size or material variation, e.g. to suit a marine environment etc.
